Find your book people at Books by the Beach – a friendly, welcoming and inclusive monthly book club set in a beautiful room overlooking the sea.

We will meet once a month to read a book with a connection to the sea. Book choices will be from a wide range of genres so there will be something for everyone. Simply read the book beforehand then come along to share your thoughts in a relaxed and welcoming discussion.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are included, or you can treat yourself to something from the on-site Seven Districts Coffee Shop before we begin.

Whether you come on your own or with a friend, you’ll find a relaxed, supportive space where everyone is welcome. Come along and sea where the story takes you – see what we did there!

How it works:
Before each meeting, simply read the chosen book, then join us to chat about it in a relaxed and friendly setting. Depending on numbers, discussions may take place in small groups or as one larger conversation, giving everyone the chance to share their thoughts if they wish.

Everyone is welcome. There’s no pressure to speak, no right or wrong opinions, and you can take part as much or as little as you’d like.

Our aim is simple: to make reading fun, accessible and a great way to connect with others.
